Research in wind energy is crucial for advancing the efficiency, sustainability, and integration of wind power into the energy mix. Offshore Wind Energy Center of Gdansk Tech (CMEW) adopts three main priority research lines:
1. Digitalization and machine learning (ML) techniques in wind energy
Bio: Helena Solman is a Postdoctoral researcher at Environmental Policy Group, at Wageningen University in the Netherlands. Her research focuses how digitalization shapes the transition towards wind energy. More specifically, her research shows how and to what extent digital technologies help to tackle a range of social, technical and environmental challenges for sustainable upscaling of wind power in both onshore and offshore landscapes.

The Offshore Wind Energy Centre of Gdańsk University of Technology (OWEC) is a university-wide, interdisciplinary research and development unit dedicated to advancing knowledge, technologies, and competencies in the field of offshore wind energy. The Centre serves as a platform for collaboration between academia, industry partners, and public institutions in the areas of scientific research, innovation, and education for the offshore wind sector.
Offshore wind energy studies focus on the study, design, and implementation of technologies that use wind as a source of electricity in the seas and oceans. Offshore wind energy has become an important area of research due to its huge production potential and environmental benefits, especially in the context of combating climate change and the need to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

Specialisation: design and construction of offshore energy systems
The main goal of the conference is to strengthen research and development cooperation with representatives of Polish and foreign industry as well as organisations and institutions active in the offshore wind energy sector.
The Baltic Windustry Conference will be held on 12 September at Gdansk University of Technology and is organized together with Polish Wind Energy Association.
The following agenda contains three sessions:
