Offshore Industry Conference: Strengthening Business and Scientific Cooperation
The upcoming conference aims to present and disseminate emerging trends and groundbreaking technologies in the offshore industry while fostering stronger cooperation between business and scientific communities. This event will serve as a dynamic platform for exchanging knowledge, discussing innovation, and forming new partnerships, particularly in the Baltic Sea region, with a special focus on Western Pomerania.

The conference will offer a comprehensive exploration of key areas in the offshore sector, divided into three thematic blocks: Policy & Financing, Industry & Education, and Research & Digitalization. Each session will feature expert speakers who will deliver insights into current and future developments in the field, as well as strategies to maintain a competitive edge through research and innovation.

Policy & Financing

HybridWind

The energy transition in the EU requires an increase in the level of wind power utilisation while further reducing operation and maintenance costs. Currently, almost all turbines are maintained with corrective and preventive strategies, which increases the so-called Levelised Cost of Electricity (LCOE).

DigiWind

DIGIWind – Digital Masters of Wind and Energy Systems - new fields of study, specialised courses at Gdansk University of Technology.

Conference Baltic Windustry 2023
On Tuesday, 12 September, scientists, experts, investors and representatives of offshore wind energy companies met at the Gdansk University of Technology. All thanks to the conference 'Baltic Windustry 2023: industrial research in offshore wind energy', hosted by our university.

The Centre for Offshore Wind Energy of the Gdansk University of Technology in cooperation with the Polish Wind Energy Association was responsible for organising the event. The aim of the conference was to present and disseminate currently developing trends and new technologies in the offshore industry and to strengthen cooperation between the business and scientific communities.
