From 14 to 18 September 2026, Gdańsk University of Technology will host NEPTUN Summer School 2026 “Mechanics in Offshore Wind Energy”, organised by the Faculty of Mechanical Engineering and Ship Technology and the Offshore Wind Energy Center (CMEW).

The five-day Summer School will bring together young researchers and experts representing the international academic, research and industrial community. Participating institutions include NTNU, DTU, TU Delft, IMP PAN, Ramboll, DNV, Flint Systems, Solusi University and ISET Sfax.

The programme will address key challenges and technologies shaping modern wind energy – from wind turbine aerodynamics and offshore structural engineering to digital twins, Structural Health Monitoring, reliability assessment, AI, predictive maintenance and VR-based training for the offshore sector.

NEPTUN Summer School goes beyond lectures. Participants will also take part in a study visit to Baltic Towers, networking activities, meetings with industry representatives and the 12th Meeting of the Business Council, creating an opportunity for direct exchange between academia and industry.

The Summer School aims to create an international environment for learning, exchanging experience and building connections between young researchers, experts and offshore wind professionals.
