Applications are now open for the NEPTUN Summer School 2026

The Offshore Wind Energy Centre at Gdańsk University of Technology invites PhD students to apply for the NEPTUN Summer School - Mechanics in Offshore Wind Energy, which will take place on 14-18 September 2026 in Gdańsk, Poland.

The Summer School offers a unique opportunity to expand knowledge in offshore wind energy, exchange experiences with researchers and industry experts, and establish new international collaborations.

The programme covers key topics related to offshore wind engineering, including:

  • Wind Energy Systems and Wind Farm Engineering,
  • Wind Turbine and Offshore Structure Design,
  • Digitalisation, Monitoring and Intelligent Operation,
  • Reliability, Maintenance and Lifecycle Management,
  • Grid Integration, Industry and Innovation.

In addition to expert lectures, participants will have the opportunity to visit research laboratories, meet representatives of industry, and take part in networking and social events organised throughout the week. Classes will be conducted in English.

Participation in the Summer School is free of charge. The organisers provide accommodation in a university dormitory, coffee breaks and lunches. Participants are responsible only for covering their travel costs to Gdańsk.
